Terms & Conditions

The terms governing your use of the LifeLens website and services.

Last updated: 5 August 2026

1. About us

This website and the LifeLens service are operated by Virtual Reality Empathy Platform Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Scotland with company number SC548949, whose registered office is at 26 Wicks Of Baiglie Road, Bridge Of Earn, Perth, Scotland, PH2 9RN. You can contact us at support@lifelens.care.

2. These terms

These terms and conditions apply to your use of this website and to any demonstration, licence, or service you request through it. By using this website or requesting a demo, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use the website is the version that applies.

3. The LifeLens service

LifeLens is a virtual reality empathy training product designed to help carers, educators, designers, and families understand the sensory challenges of dementia and ageing. LifeLens is an awareness and training tool. It does not provide medical, clinical, or diagnostic advice and must not be relied upon as a substitute for professional healthcare guidance.

Access to LifeLens is provided under a separate licence or service agreement, the terms of which will be supplied to you at the point of purchase. Where those terms conflict with these website terms, the licence or service agreement takes precedence in respect of the service.

4. Bookings and enquiries

Submitting the demo request form is an enquiry, not a binding order. We will contact you to arrange a demonstration or to discuss your requirements. Any pricing we provide is exclusive of VAT unless stated, and may be subject to change.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, the LifeLens name, software, and the VR experiences themselves — is owned by or licensed to Virtual Reality Empathy Platform Ltd and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of it without our prior written permission.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this website in any way that is unlawful, or that could damage, disable, or impair the website or interfere with anyone else's use of it. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server, or any connected system.

7. Health and safety in VR

Virtual reality experiences can cause discomfort in some users, including nausea, disorientation, or eye strain. Where LifeLens is delivered, guidance on safe use is provided. Users with medical conditions that may be affected by VR should seek professional advice before participating. We are not liable for effects arising from failure to follow the safety guidance provided.

8. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Subject to the above, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, or data arising from your use of this website. This website is provided "as is" and we make no warranties about its availability or that it will be free from errors.

9. Links to other sites

This website may contain links to third-party websites (for example, our partner organisations). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those websites and provide the links for convenience only.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to support@lifelens.care.
